Dixon joins the SLM family
“We’ve long wanted to expand into drums and percussion, but were waiting for the right brand,” SLM’s CEO Mark Ragin said. “Dixon drums and hardware are great products and a perfect fit with the rest of our combo offerings.”
Dixon, which is owned and produced by manufacturing giant Reliance International Corp., was previously distributed by Kaman Music Corp.
“We are extremely happy to be working with St. Louis Music and we will support their efforts over the coming years to see Dixon become one of the U.S.’s leading percussion lines,” commented Mike Sails, Vice President of Reliance.

Started in Germany in 1979 as a drum hardware company, expanding into drum sets soon after that. In 2008, they entered the U.S. market with three kits, The Chaos, The Demon, and The Outlaw, earning a “Best in Show” honor for Best New Drum Product Line at that Winter NAMM.
