ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – Dixon Drums is thrilled and honored to welcome Jerohn Garnett to the brand’s family of endorsees. Students of percussion will know Jerohn from his fantastic lesson series, JW Lessons, which began on YouTube and now has its own online platform, and also for his impressive touring and performance history.
“Jerohn is a really wonderful addition to the Dixon artist roster,” says Jim Uding, Dixon Brand Manager. “He’s toured and recorded with some of the biggest names in the industry, and just like us he has a real passion and vision for education. Jerohn is a true talent.”
Jerohn was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where he began playing drums at the age of 3. Inspired by Urban/Gospel drummers like Joel Smith, Jeff Davis and many others, Jerohn honed his reading, performance and improvisation skills playing at his church and with local bands. Years later he would find himself touring with the likes of Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, Macy Gray and many more, and also would appear on tv shows like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Oprah, Ellen, and Late Night with David Letterman.
