Industry great and saxophonist Craig Denny brings his talents to SLM
Craig Denny has joined the SLM team to represent the P. Mauriat brass line. Denny is a well-respected professional musician and educator, and was former director of marketing for saxophones at Conn-Selmer.

Mauriat instruments are intriguing, and in a short time have already captured a lot of attention,” Denny says. “Their tagline says it all: ‘go for the sound.’ In the age of many copycat brands, they’ve created a fantastic instrument with a unique sound. I’m thrilled with the opportunity St. Louis Music has given me and look forward to establishing P. Mauriat saxophones as one of the most popular lines in the U.S.”
At Conn-Selmer, Craig oversaw the development and implementation of all programs, events, and production of saxophones for the company. He received his degree in Music Performance from DePaul University. His performing credits include working with Garth Brooks, John Pizzarelli, Michael Feinstein, and many others. He has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Mulligan Mosaics Big Band, and Broadway touring companies of Spamalot, Evita, and Wicked, among others.

Denny says that he’s not only impressed with P. Mauriat products, but the company itself. “It’s an artist-focused company, and that’s rare these days,” he says. “The roster of players is already fantastic and growing.” He adds that he’s looking forward to bringing not only his business experience to this position, but his passion for playing.
“I look forward to going into dealers and presenting these saxophones,” he says. “I want all SLM dealers to see what a great value these instruments are, and how they are an attractive alternative to the increasingly high priced vintage instruments. I’ll work with dealers on how best to present them to customers, and how to create the best experience with P. Mauriat saxophones.”
