ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – Alvarez is proud to present the addition of special Armrest model guitars to their award winning Artist Series. The new AG/AR Artist Series models was unveiled at Winter NAMM 2017 and have been designed in the Alvarez spirit of delivering instruments with high end features at excellent value.
“While serving a functionality of improving comfort, a bevel edge armrest has also been a way for luthiers to exhibit their craftsmanship,” says Chris Meikle, Head of Development at Alvarez and Senior Vice President of St. Louis Music. “Our new armrest models have allowed us to demonstrate our ability to craft great looking, great sounding guitars and make them as affordable as possible.”
The Alvarez Armrest models are the result of a 12 month R&D and refining process. The Alvarez design team opted for a slimmer bevel than the standard, which gives the guitars a more sophisticated and designer look.
The Alvarez Armrest models are featured in two series, the 60 and 70. The 60s will feature a solid sitka spruce top with mahogany backs and sides, with a rosewood armrest. The 70s is delivered in solid sitka spruce with rosewood backs and sides, with an armrest made of flamed maple for a beautiful contrast.
