ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – Alvarez Guitars continues to offer players unique tools for their music experience and was thrilled to present the Delta DeLite at Winter NAMM 2017. The Delta DeLite is an exciting and unique take on the travel guitar.
“Small body travel guitars continue to be very popular,” says Chris Meikle, Head of Development at Alvarez and Senior Vice President of St. Louis Music. “We wanted to make one of the smallest available and explore just how well we could get it to sound.”
Meikle and his design team chose a reduced size of the Alvarez Jazz & Blues Delta00 for the DeLite’s body shape. Months of work went into the honing of the construction, as the team worked to maximize projection, balance and response. The result is a guitar that weighs in at only 3.3 pounds, with a sound as signature as its aesthetic.
“The diminutive Delite derives its name from the playing experience,” continues Meikle. “It’s great for focused bluesy tones and performs wonderfully when finger picked, which is a great surprise for a guitar that’s not much larger than a baritone ukulele.”
The Delta00 DeLite features a solid A+ Grade Sitka top and Mahogany backs and sides and is finished in satin shadowburst. Appointments include real bone nut and saddle, rosewood bridge and fingerboard and a mahogany with a dovetail 14th fret neck joint. Perfect for musicians after a great sounding, high mobility instrument or parents looking for a refined and correctly designed guitar for their child. The DeLite comes with a 15mm duo-foam gig bag.
