ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – In response to increasing demand for high quality German violins in moderate price ranges for advancing players, Knilling is pleased to introduce two new master violins from the well-established workshop of Franz Sandner.
“Being able to supply master-made German instruments at modest price points is a special privilege,” says Jim Eaton, Vice President of Orchestral Sales, of St. Louis Music. “These mid-range instruments show all of the craftsmanship and tonal characteristics we would expect of more expensive models.”
The Franz Sandner #45F Concerto Model 4/4 Violin features highly flamed European maple back and sides and select European spruce tops, fully graduated, with highlighted reddish-brown spirit varnish. List $1595. The Franz Sandner #46F Symphony Model 4/4 Violin features beautifully flamed maple back and sides with select, seasoned top, meticulously graduated, with hand applied translucent golden brown spirit varnish. Fractional sizes available on special order.
“They bring to the intermediate player a beautiful master made instrument with an open, mature sound,” Eaton continues. “Each one is destined to become a lifelong musical partner and a family heritage.”
