St. Louis Music is now offering Sebastian cello and bass outfits, imported by Knilling. “These instruments are ideally suited for dealers and schools looking for one of the best budget outfits in the market,” says Jim Eaton, Knilling Brand Director. “For those dealers who must meet price first and foremost, the Sebastian line will meet that stipulation without a sacrifice to quality for those in their community creating the new music makers of tomorrow.” He adds that there are no buy in or minimum quantities applicable – another aspect dealers will find attractive about Sebastian.
Sebastian cellos and basses are available in fully laminated, hybrid (solid top and laminated side and back), or solid wood models. The outfits all feature inlaid purfling, ebony trim, and each outfit is set up and ready to play, factory adjusted with well-fitted bridge, and steelcore strings. The cellos feature synthetic tailpiece with built-in tuners. Each outfit includes wood bow with genuine horsehair and padded cover.
The list prices are from $795 for the 4/4 to 1/2 laminated cello outfit; $895 for the 4/4 to 3/4 deluxe laminated cello outfit; $995 for the 4/4 solid and hybrid cello outfit; $1,195 for the 4/4 deluxe solid cello outfit; $1,795 for the 3/4 to 1/4 laminated bass outfit; $1,995 for the 3/4 hybrid bass outfit; and $2,295 for the 3/4 solid bass outfit.
Dealers can choose to upgrade to a full Knilling Custom Shop Adjustment with D’Addario Prelude strings and German maple bridge for an additional cost.
