ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – Set for release in January 2014, P. Mauriat presents the PMT-720 series, a revolution in trumpet design. Based on the 700 professional series popularized by such artists as Terell Stafford and John McNeil, the 720 series represents the pinnacle of the P. Mauriat trumpet line.
“The PMT-720 evolved from vast amounts of artist input we received since the release of the 700 series,” says Adam MacBlane, Co-designer and trumpet product specialist. “While maintaining the finer aspects of its parent horn, the 720 offers an enhanced balance of resistance and brilliance. In short, this horn is an all-in-one tool for any versatile trumpet player.”
The heart of the new Bb trumpet series is a solid yellow brass valve block, housing a set of striking stainless-steel valves. A 4.8” one-piece gold brass bell pairs well with a boxed style, dual-braced main tuning slide, creating a brilliant, warm sound. Nickel-silver outer slides also enhance the overall feel and response. The PMT-720 will be produced in three finishes with custom options coming soon: unlacquered, matte lacquered, and silver plate
MSRP $2849 for unlacquered (720UL) / matte-lacquered (720M)
MSRP $3149 for silver plate (720SP)
The trumpet comes with the new P. Mauriat hardwood double trumpet case with gun-metal latches. The 720 models will be on display at the 2014 Winter NAMM conference.
With its unique design and brilliant sound, the PMT-720 stands out amongst competing brands and is a testament to the innovative nature of P Mauriat musical instruments.
