WARWICK MUSIC GROUP HELPS EDUCATORS AND TEACHERS WITH AWARD-WINNING RESOURCES

December 6th 2018

A selection of support materials and on-line resources for music educators and early learners to encourage more children to enjoy music making has been introduced by Warwick Music Group – the company behind the hugely popular range of plastic brass instruments, including pBone, pTrumpet,pCornet and pBuzz.

New for 2018 is the award-winning on-line teaching resource that enables both music and non-music educators teach the principles of brass music to primary children using pBuzz – a revolutionary brass instrument manufactured in plastic and specially designed to encourage children as young as three to play and enjoy music.

Developed with mini-musician’s little hands in mind, the creators of pBuzz, Warwick Music Group, wanted to enable any teacher to use the instrument as a resource, whether they were a musician or not. Working in partnership with Music Education Solutions a step-by-step guide and support system for schools was designed.

The resulting pBuzz KS1 Music Teaching Resource has been ranked overall winner in the 2018 Teach Primary Resource Awards’ Music Resource category from more than 450 products. Judges Commented: “The accompanying lesson plans are pedagogically very sound and are well structured to support children’s musical development.”

Steven Greenall, Warwick Music Group’s CEO said: “In an impact report on the resources, teachers said how much the children looked forward to the lesson every week, and 86% of those surveyed said this was a good resource for non-specialist primary teachers without a musical background.”

Warwick Music’s Group range of plastic mouthpieces also ensures that every child in the class can have his or her own mouthpiece so that instruments can be safely shared. This approach to health is also reinforced by Warwick Music’s instruments incorporating patented anti-microbial technology from Biocote, which provides the highest standards of protection and makes its plastic and hybrid instruments ideal for use in school and band settings.

A range of new padded bags have also been introduced in three different colours – black, purple and

red to complement the standard range of bags. These have proved helpful in teaching children all about instrument care.
